About us
Hannes Aurell is a leadership coach and organizational consultant based in Stockholm, Sweden. He has received training at the master level from the Scandinavian Institute of Communication and Change and focuses on improving communication in organizations, resolving and managing conflict, and clarifying purpose.
Apart from his coaching and consulting work, Hannes currently facilitates a group process based on Thomas Jordan’s work on integral change agents. Business professionals from diverse fields meet monthly to share their experiences with one another, in order to bring a more responsible and informed perspective to their work and private lives.

Katie Heikkinen, the former director of the Integral University project at Integral Institute, is a doctoral student at Harvard Graduate School of Education. She studies human development with Kurt Fischer, Robert Kegan, and Howard Gardner. Her research centers around issues of measurement in human development and the role of developmental capacity in success outcomes. Her current research project compares the Lectical Assessment System with Susanne Cook-Greuter’s Leadership Maturity Profile and Robert Kegan’s Subject-Object Interview.
In addition to her research, Katie teaches for the core course in the Mind, Brain, and Education master’s program, for Kegan’s course on adult development, and leads a class on Multiple Intelligences as a member of the faculty of John F. Kennedy University.
Katie is available for teaching, presenting, and consulting on topics related to cutting-edge research in human development. She is based in Boston, Massachusetts and can be reached at katie@matrixintegral.org.
