What really makes a leader, doctor, therapist, businessman, writer, etc., excellent? We can clearly see differences in quality of achievement within all fields of human activity, even between individuals with identical educational backgrounds. How is this possible? It might seem a question with an obvious answer - some people are just faster, smarter, better than others. If so, then why? What is it that makes them faster, smarter, better? Genetics? Maybe partly, but absolutely not exclusively!

Comparative interdisciplinary studies have found specific patterns of thought and behavior that seem to greatly determine people’s ability to achieve their intended goals. When distinguishing these patterns, and freeing them from their contexts, we get what one could call ‘keys’ of human activity. These ‘keys’ have proven to be of enormous significance - in everything from business to parenthood.

In Transformative Communication, we learn these ‘keys’ and how to use them to best fulfill our intentions. This part of our proposed education program will provide our students ‘hands-on’ experience and understanding of how to accomplish true transformation both during and after their time at Matrix Integral. This course will provide not only knowledge, but also skillfulness in using that knowledge in relationships, studies, work, and everyday life.

Since our students will live in a community setting, there will be a unique support for embodying skills and knowledge in life outside classes. The ability to fully benefit from the skills taught depends greatly on the amount of practice, and in such a community setting, this training comes nearly automatically.

Transformative Communication and the Integral approach both persistently maintain a meta-perspective, that is, they are applicable in any field and at any system-level. We think of the Integral approach as an enlightening map to guide you in your life, and Transformative Communication as an empowering tool-kit for you to use wherever you choose to go. At Matrix Integral, we are as excited about bringing the knowledge of Transformative Communication to the world as the Integral approach, and look forward to offering both in our year-long education and short-term seminars and workshops.
